Developed bottom-up building simulation pipelines (EnergyPlus, Rhino/Grasshopper, Python) and deep learning models for UBEM and climate risk assessment.
Secured competitive research funding for urban sustainability initiatives, driven by comprehensive urban heat island (UHI) measurements and weather data calibration.

Assisted in AI/ML for 3D reconstruction and camera-based occupancy classification.

Collaborated with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change and GIZ to optimize building energy performance for Turkish Insulation Standards (TS-825).
Simulated energy performance using genetic algorithms (HYPE, NSGA-II) and life-cycle cost analysis to propose near-zero energy building (nZEB) solutions (e.g., insulation, geothermal).

Organizer & Site Manager Event Organization & Logistics

2015 – 2016

Co-organized a student-run interdisciplinary summer design village — the 2015 edition hosted ÜMOB'15 (32nd National Architecture Students' Meeting), followed by an independent 2016 edition.
Led year-round project planning for each edition, followed by about a month of on-site settlement and preparation of the village before the workshops began.
Each edition hosted 10+ workshops for 120–150 students from universities across Turkey.
Served as site manager: led on-site operations and liaised with municipalities, the military, police, and companies for permits, security, and sponsorship.
Work from both editions was exhibited at İzmir Mimarlık Merkezi (İzmir Chamber of Architects) in 2018.

Internship Heritage Restoration & Conservation

Summer 2015

Architecture internship at a practice specializing in the restoration and conservation of heritage buildings in İzmir.
Assisted with survey, documentation, and design work on historic building restoration projects.
